Assassin’s Creed IV DLC and Season Pass Detailed Damien Lawardorn October 12, 2013 Black Flag is the fourth mainline title of the Assassin’s Creed series and, like its predecessors, will be receiving a rather hefty downloadable content campaign. We already learned that Playstation owners would be receiving an hour’s worth of exclusive content featuring Aveline, the protagonist of last year’s Vita release Liberation (a trailer for which is embedded below), and Ubisoft has now announced additional content that will be made available in coming months. What should most excite our readers is a nine mission side-story starring Captain Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale. Titled Freedom Cry, it apparently contains about three hours of gameplay with Adewale shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue, rescuing slaves and seeking revenge against his former captors. We also learn that additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles will be made available, as well as extra multiplayer characters and ship customisations. If you’re interested in all of it, Ubisoft will be offering a Season Pass that will reportedly save players a grand total of 20 percent when compared against purchasing all of the content separately. It will all be available prior to March 2014 on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, though Wii U owners will not be receiving any post-release expansions.
