Dark Synergy Studios Unveils Their Unreal Engine 4 Stealth Action FPS, Wake Up Call Nick Calandra January 11, 2014 Dark Synergy studios has finally revealed their first title that they’ve been working on for the past few years: Wake Up Call. Wake Up Call has been in the works for quite a while. Back in 2012, we conducted an interview with creative director, Milian Singh to learn more about his ambitious project. At the time, all he really had to show us was a few pieces of concept art and information about what the game would be like. Today, that all changes. Dark Synergy has at long last posted their World Reveal trailer for the game which you can see below. While it doesn’t show a lot in terms of gameplay footage, it sets up the story and gives you a glimpse at what’s to come. If the last few moments of the trailer are any indication, we could have a big hit on our hands. Dark Synergy is comprised of a team developers from a wide range of titles both indie and AAA, most notably Killzone 3. Below you will find the full set of details about the game. You can vote for Wake Up Call on their Steam Greenlight page by following the link. Wake Up Call follows Kyle Rogers, an ex-special operations soldier who has been awakened after one hundred and fifty years of cryostasis sleep. Kyle quickly gets sucked into an alien Earth where conflict has broken out between the tyrannical Kalders and The Scarred, a guerilla resistance group. Little do the factions of the world know, a massive station full of thousands of humans locked away in cryostasis lies beneath the ground, shrouded in mystery, and it won’t be long before Kyle realizes that the secrets of this world are far more dangerous than what caused the apocalypse in the first place. Players will experience visceral sci-fi action: a mix of stealth, heart-pounding gun-fights, and survival horror gameplay in an immersive and atmospheric vision of post-apocalyptic Earth. And to make it all happen, Wake Up Call will take full advantage of the powerful hardware available in modern PC’s, thanks to Unreal Engine 4. This will be one epic adventure that any and all sci-fi fans need to experience. We’ll be working on a new interview with Milan in the coming weeks, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest on this very ambitious indie project.
