The highly anticipated addition to Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid franchise, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, looks set release in Spring 2014 in both a digital and physical format. The game will also come with a relatively (and surprisingly) cheaper price of $19.99 digitally and $29.99 physically for PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will also release for PS4 and Xbox One for $29.99 but will only be available for digital release on next-gen.

Hideo Kojima has stated that

“the advanced capabilities of the FOX Engine are allowing me to express the story of METAL GEAR SOLID in a new way. There will be a significant difference in what METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN brings to the series, so we want to ease players into the new open world environment and its potential, allowing them to fully benefit from all that the new game offers. As such, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES has been designed to introduce key elements, while setting up the events of METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN.”

So it seems that the Metal Gear game will bring some new changes, a cheaper price and a brand new engine. What do you think? Sounds too good to be true? Let us know what you think in the comments.
