The fifth Scribblenauts series game, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure hit the shelves on Tuesday this week for the Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo 3DS, and PC. If you’re a PC gamer, you might have noticed the PC download price on Steam, and all major retailers that sell Steam keys, has it priced at $39.99. Actually it’s $35.99 due to a limited time 10% discount, but for some reason the UK retailer Green Man Gaming thinks the list price is $29.99, but still has a 10% instant discount to $26.99… better still there’s a coupon code marking the price down a whole lot further.

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is only $20.25 after 25% off coupon code GMG25-J4B0D-FLH8M at Green Man Gaming. That price reflects a limited time 10% instant discount, an oddball $29.99 list price (everywhere else is $39.99), and a limited offer coupon which expires Friday, September 27th at 11AM Eastern.

Okay, currency values fluctuate and maybe the Green Man Gaming got its UK and US prices mixed up… One might assume, but actually GMG lists Scribblenauts Unmasked at £22.99, where Steam UK lists it at £29.99. It’s a fluke price drop, but if you’re interested in buying at a discount it might be wise to buy now before someone figures out their mistake.

Two other digital retailers, GameStop and GameFly both have Scribblenauts Unmasked priced at $39.99 and $35.99 respectively. That just goes to show Steam isn’t overcharging, the UK retailer probably just listed it wrong – or is offering an incredible 49% discount on the games release week.
