Sunset Overdrive – Weapons Arsenal “as large as the largest Ratchet arsenals” Nick Calandra May 9, 2014 Looks like I was able to scrounge up some new details on Sunset Overdrive from the official Twitter account for the game today. One of the main things that Insomniac Games is known for is their creative weaponry found across all their game titles with the Ratchet and Clank series being at the forefront of their creative skills. Sunset Overdrive continues their zany outlook on weaponry as we noted in our first details article yesterday. You can also see a wide range of weaponry in the first gameplay trailer for the game released, which you can view just below. I asked the Twitter account today just how big the arsenal would be for Sunset Overdrive and while the answer wasn’t too in-depth, I did manage to get an idea of just how many weapons will be in the game. According to the Twitter account, the game’s arsenal will be, “as large as the largest Ratchet arsenals.” In addition, each weapon can be slotted with an amp, of which Insomniac says there are a “ton”. I’m not sure how big the arsenals were in the Ratchet and Clank Future series, but from my experience with the previous games, the arsenals were quite extensive. And the Twitter account only noted projectile weapons, so we’re going to go ahead and assume there’s quite the number of hand to hand weapons as well. @onlysp_nick the arsenal of projectile weapons in the game is as large as the largest Ratchet arsenals — Sunset Overdrive (@SunsetOverdrive) May 10, 2014 @onlysp_nick and there’s a ton more amps, each weapon can be slotted with a weapon amp — Sunset Overdrive (@SunsetOverdrive) May 10, 2014 @inputcanthuman yes, very much so! still lots of polish. that build is like 2 months old too — Sunset Overdrive (@SunsetOverdrive) May 9, 2014 Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest information on Sunset Overdrive and other upcoming single player titles. Damien L. Not sure about weapons alone, but I know that one of the games had a total of either twenty-two, or twenty-four (can’t remember which) weapons and gadgets, so 16-20 seems plausible for SO.
