Wipeout Successor Antigraviator Gets Gameplay Footage

The upcoming anti-gravity racing game Antigraviator has received its first trailer since its failed Kickstarter effort earlier this year.

Although the highlight of the teaser is the fast-paced racing, the footage also shows off some of the vehicle customisation options, which include the ability to recolour, as well as change transmissions and wings. Unlike other games in the genre, Antigraviator takes cues from more traditional arcade racers to allow players to set traps, fire missiles, and otherwise reshape the track to get the edge over opponents.

The game will feature a total of twelve tracks in three different game modes. A full single-player mode will be present, and progression through it will reward players with additional ships and parts. Furthermore, Antigraviator will feature a split-screen competitive mode as well as the expected online multiplayer.

Earlier this year, the developers at Cybernetic Walrus took to Kickstarter, seeking to raise €30,000, but fell far short. However, the game was saved by Starpoint Gemini: Warlords publisher Iceberg Interactive, which stepped in to provide support for the fledgling team. Antigraviator is currently slated for a Q2 2018 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
