In an interview with Game Reactor with Ace Combat: Infinity’s lead producer Kazutoki Kono, the producer revealed some interest in bringing the Ace Combat franchise to the Playstation 4 in the future.
When asked about bringing the series to next-generation consoles, Kono responded: “We would love to look into it, but first seeing that, getting the support of a bigger fan base in Ace Combat: Infinity we’ll be able to prove that a lot of the fans, a lot of the people, are looking forward to the next Ace Combat. And they’ll be happy to see a more beautiful version of Ace Combat on the next-gen, so we want to look forward to that after Ace Combat: Infinity does well.”
Currently, Bandai Namco is working on production of Ace Combat: Infinity for the Playstation 3, which is a free-to-play entry in the long-running flight combat franchise. Ace Combat: Infinity is a Playstation 3 exclusive and will launch later this month in both Japanese and European markets. There is no North American release date at this time.
