Alien: Isolation Survival Mode Detailed

2

Sega and Creative Assembly have announced the new Survival Mode in Alien: Isolation, which will give players the opportunity to challenge themselves even further.

A new trailer has been released showing the new mode in action, which will challenge players to complete their objectives as quick as possible. The results of their skills will be uploaded to the global leaderboard, where they can compare scores and stats.

The game releases with one map – Basement – when the title releases, and on October 28th, three more maps will become available as the first add-on pack. The DLC will also include a brand new character and enemies, with new game modes to play.

No price has been detailed, but each pack will be sold separately or can be purchased with a 25 percent discount when buying the Season Pass. All DLC will be available by March 25th, 2015.

Alien: Isolation releases on October 7th, 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC.

  1. I’m looking forward to this game like most people, but announcing DLC before release? Such a bad move for consumer confidence. It’s like your telling your customers that when you buy the game for $60 you’re receiving a watered-down product.

    1. The Survival mode DLC has no bearing on the actual campaign so isn’t really an issue. I have no interest in playing it, for example, so my Nostromo edition pre-order will be just fine. I want to play the main story and then explore a bit more with the Nostromo additional bits. I tend to not be a fan of time limit add-ons like Survival mode anyway as I prefer taking time to progress properly in single player games.
