Titanfall 3 Reportedly Scrapped in Favor of Battle Royale Game Apex Legends

Titanfall 3 is not currently in development as Respawn Entertainment has moved its development focus over to the newly released Apex Legends.

During an interview with Eurogamer, Respawn lead producer Drew McCoy confirmed that 2016’s Titanfall 2 has no sequel planned as of now.

“We’re doing a free to play game, with essentially loot boxes, after we were bought by EA, and it’s not Titanfall 3.”

Furthermore, Kotaku’s Jason Shreier shed more light on what became of Titanfall 3, stating that what is now the multiplayer battle royale Apex Legends was originally Respawn’s Titanfall 3.

While Apex Legends is what Respawn has decided to put in the public eye at the moment, the developer does still have Jedi: Fallen Order behind the scenes.
