Assassin’s Creed IV Single Player DLC Available From December 17th

0

Ubisoft announced prior to the release of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag that the highlight of its post-release content would be a massive single player expansion called Freedom Cry, which would pit you in the shoes of Edward Kenway’s First Mate Adewale while shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue. Featuring nine missions it is expected to take between three and four hours for players to complete, a relatively short time for an Assassin’s Creed title, but comparable with the core campaigns of some other games. We were aware that it was set to launch before the end of March, but Game Informer (via PSXExtreme) indicates that it is much closer than might have been expected.

According to an ad spotted by the magazine, the DLC will be available from the 17th of December for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and XBO, with a PC release also planned, though not confirmed for the same date. Unfortunately for Wii U owners, they will not be receiving any post-launch content. Additionally, there is no clear indication of the price of this expansion, though nabbing the Season Pass will net you a 20% discount for this and all future DLC. If you remain on the fence about Black Flag, OnlySP gives it a thumbs-up courtesy of Simon’s glowing 9/10 review.
