Assassin’s Creed – Modern and Possible Shogunate Era Games

0

Head writer of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Darby McDevitt, recently said whilst on a panel at Comic-Con and Twitter, that a modern age game could at some point happen although the ability to be a tourist in some of histories most beautiful places is the major draw of the series.

During the panel he not only mentioned a modern game but also one for Feudal Japan, “I think the Shogunate is in a cool era”. So it seems that we may actually see a Japanese Assassin’s Creed and given that the Assassins span the globe and are active all throughout time too, it only makes sense that they were there too. Making the relation to Desmond may be a hard play seeing as he’s related to nearly every single nationality already.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is the next game coming up though as many know and far from a Japanese Samurai setting, you’ll be Captain Edward Kenway, Pirate, Assassin and all round badass! Black Flag is out on the 29th October in North America and November 1st for Europeans. You can pre-order now.
