Ahead of E3 next week, Avalanche Studios founder Christofer Sundberg has tweeted out an off-screen picture of a self-published IP currently in development at the studio.
The tweet, embedded below, has hashtags that hint at an official reveal coming within the next 24 hours and that more of the game will be shown at this year’s E3:
During my daily stroll around the studio I passed by one of our self-publishing teams and it looks like something is going down… in flames! #newip #24hrs #E32018 #AvalancheStudios #RelentlessForwardMotion pic.twitter.com/5AFaR1vViv

The project, as of writing, is unnamed, but the screenshot suggests that it is a first-person shooter. Avalanche has had a busy 2018, opening a new office in Sweden, as well as the revelation that the company will be co-developing Rage 2. Furthermore, the team was recently purchased by Nordisk Film.
For the developer to be focusing on this many projects at once is a big change in scope for Avalanche, a change that likely led to Bethesda Softworks trusting it to take Rage 2 out of in-house development.
