Stoic, the developers behind The Banner Saga, which we loved, is currently working on mobile ports of the game. But, at the same time the developer is also looking at potentially bringing the game to consoles and Playstation Vita, as early as this year.

Speaking to Digital Spy, programmer John Watson spoke a few words on the subject saying, “For Vita, I’d much rather see it on PlayStation 4 first, then work on the Vita. The Vita might need some changes to take advantage of the fact that it’s both control and touch at the same time.”

According to Watson, they tried to get some contracts to help out with the porting of the game to expedite the process, but nothing was set in stone. Currently, Stoic is handling the porting process.

The Banner Saga was a fantastic game and console owners would definitely be in for a treat if the game does make its way over to the PS4, and hopefully, at some point the Xbox One.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the status of The Banner Saga’s console ports, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest.

  1. Damn. I already bought this on Steam, lol. I’d have to double-dip. Hate playing games on my laptop.
