Bayonetta 2 Confirmed As Wii U Exclusive

4

If you were on the fence about the Wii U, Platinum Games and Nintendo may have given you good reason to jump right off of it. It’s been announced that Bayonetta 2 is not only a reality—with Hideki Kamiya returning for the project—but that it will be available exclusively for the Wii U. Couple this with Platinum Games’ other Wii U project confirmed as The Wonderful 101 (previously titled Project P-100) it would seem the Japan-based studio is supporting Nintendo’s newest platform handsomely.

We expect to see the summoning of hair demons, sucking of lollipops and all kinds of acrobatics being integrated into the Wii U’s touch-screen controller!

  1. This is pretty unfortunate news. I loved the first Bayonetta and was looking forward to the sequel. However, I have not even considered purchasing a WiiU and still don&#039t plan on doing so. Trying to integrate the WiiU&#039s bulky controller into the game seems like a disaster in the making. Considering the precision and finesse that were necessary to be successful in the first game, swinging that brick of a controller around seems a bit counter-intuitive.

  3. Well… that&#039s unexpected. May have to consider a Wii-U at some point if more interesting projects like this one come to light. Never played Bayonetta, mind you, but fell in love with P* for giving me Vanquish and Rising.
