Anyone remember Bioshock 2‘s multiplayer? Chances are you don’t, or if you do then it wasn’t for a good reason. Irrational Games have likely reflected on this, as it’s been revealed that the multiplayer component of the upcoming Bioshock: Infinite is being scrapped, if it existed to begin with.
Apparently, two multiplayer modes were planned to be included. The first was to be a tower defense mode where shrunk players would fend off waves of mechanized toys, while the second was a series of missions based on campaign locations that could be played cooperatively, much like the Spec Ops missions from Modern Warfare. Both modes were reportedly canned due to low quality, and because Irrational wanted to focus more on the single player component.
Bioshock: Infinite is releasing on February 26th for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Make sure to follow OnlySP for more
