Blizzard Is Working On An “Unannounced Diablo Project”

Diablo III

According to a recent Blizzard job listing, the developer is working a new addition to the Diablo franchise.

The advertisement is for a dungeon artist on a “new, unannounced Diablo project.” The description makes explicit that this title is new, but it is unclear whether the project is a new game, DLC, or a remaster:

“The minions of Hell are growing stronger… We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled Dungeon Artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional.”

Recently, strong rumours circulated that Diablo III will be receiving a Switch port. The latest addition to the franchise came in the form of the ‘Rise of the Necromancer’ DLC in June 2017, which built upon the earlier ‘Reaper of Souls’ expansion for the third game in the saga. Since then, Blizzard has remained coy on whether more expansions are planned.

Meanwhile, the creator of the franchise, David Brevik, released a new roguelike this year, entitled It Lurks Below.
