Broken Age Act 2 Fully Funded, Will Release

0

The road behind Double Fine’s newest adventure game, Broken Age, has been a difficult one. With the development going overbudget after $3.3 million was put forth by KickStarters, Double Finein resulthas seperated Broken Age into two parts. Many were nervous as to how the game would sell and if the second part would be funded, but fans can be rest assured as Tim Schafer has confirmed to GamesIndustry International that “[Double Fine] made enough [from the first act so they] can make the second half of the game for sure.”

While the development of the iPad version is still to be made, Schafer has reassured fans and KickStarter backers that the game will be completed. It should also be worth the wait too as our Editor-in-Chief, Lachlan Williams, gave the first act a 9.5 in his review, and explained that it has “Memorable characters, interesting puzzles and a touching and mature story.”

Broken Age: Act One is now available on PC, Mac and Linux, and is scheduled to release this year on Ouya, Android and iOS. Broken Age: Act Two is set to be available later this year for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and Ouya.
