God of War: Ascension, the seventh instalment in the series, releases on March 12th this year. What we didn’t know until now however, is that by landing yourself a copy of Sony’s action-adventure epic, entitles you to a free demo of Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated post-apocalyptic game, The Last of Us.

This is a great coup for all parties involved, combining two excellent Playstation exclusives together in a mouth-watering deal, and could sway fans of Naughty Dog to pick up Kratos’ latest outing, if only to step into the shoes of Joel, the protagonist for The Last of Us.

To access the demo come March 12th, you simply have to click The Last of Us, which will be listed as an option on the main menu of God of War: Ascension, after loading up the game. Once clicked, you will be taken directly to the Playstation Store, where you will then be prompted to download the demo.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on what content will be accessible in the demo, but we’ll be sure to inform you as soon as we know.

TLOU

In related news, The Last of Us Post Pandemic edition is now completely sold out, at least according to Gamestop where it’s no longer in stock. When accessing the product through the website, customers are simply told the game is ‘not available.’ Whether this means Gamestop are planning on ordering in further stock, or furious fans will be left out in the cold remains to be seen, although we wouldn’t suggest holding your breath.

The Last of Us will be releasing worldwide on May 7th, exclusively on Playstation 3.
