Like vampires? Like Castlevania? Like blood? How about giving blood? The people at Mindscape, who take care of Konami titles in Australia, have decided to combine video games and philanthropy. Working with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Mindscape have organised a hands-on event where interested people can come down, play Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, and learn about the importance of donating blood.

If you’re in Sydney on Thursday the 30th, from 5pm onwards you can visit the Elizabeth street Donor Centre (20 Elizabeth street), play some Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, and perhaps help out someone in need of a lifesaving blood donation.

According to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, “Currently only 1 in 30 people give blood, but 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime.”

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, one of our Most Anticipated of 2014, is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on February 25th in the US and the 28th in EU and the UK.
