During Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight presentation, the company has announced that new titles in the Pokémon and Metroid Prime series are currently in development

Neither game had any notable details revealed during the stream, unfortunately. However, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of the Pokémon Company confirmed that, unlike Pokken Tournament, the new Pokémon game will be a core series RPG in the vein of the titles that have previously only graced Nintendo’s handhelds. That game will be developed by GameFreak, and may not release for more than a year.

The publisher also announced that the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development for the Switch, though was able to offer only a logo. Neither a release date or developer was revealed, meaning that the game could still be a long way off.
