Dangerous Driving Evokes Old-School Burnout in New Gifs

Three Fields Entertainment is continuing the trend of filling the void of no new Burnout games with its latest game, Dangerous Driving.

While its previous titles, Danger Zone and its sequel, leaned heavily upon the model of Burnout’s Crash mode, the developer is looking to reinvent the destructive racing that also formed a core part of the classic franchise’s DNA. To show off the current progress of the project, the team has released two new gifs, both featuring a tangible sense of speed and brutal crashes:

As part of the latest update, Three Fields has also revealed that it now has both traffic and AI opponents embedded in the current build, which is enabling the team to revise and finalise the track layouts while keeping several key factors in mind, including how dangerous the track is, whether it features opportunities to take down opponents, and whether drifting is possible. However, the update does not reveal if AI racers will be included in the final build of the title, as the official website lists it as a “multiplayer racing game.”

In any case, Dangerous Driving is scheduled to release in winter 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
