Bandai Namco have released a new gameplay trailer for Dark Souls III.

The new video showcasing From Software’s latest controller endurance test, entitled “Shadow’s Ahead,” takes a surprisingly positive tone (well for Dark Souls at least), telling players that their are shadows ahead, but encouraging them to stay the course. As you would expect, it features plenty of armour-clad heroes, hideous monsters, gigantic boss characters, and, curiously of all, a haunting cover Cyndie Lauper’s True Colours performed by Richie Kohan featuring Faux Fix

Check out the full excitement making video below, and if you really want to have a laugh, mute the trailer and play the original Cyndie Lauper version of the song over the top. It Makes it all just a little bit more upbeat if you ask me.

Dark Souls III will be causing the sales of new controllers and blood pressure medication to skyrocket April 12 when it arrives on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
