Dead Island: Riptide to be revealed soon, playable at Gamescom

Dead Island: Riptide is the upcoming sequel to 2011’s love-it-or-hate-it Dead Island. That’s about all we know right now, but according to a recent message from developer Deep Silver, we’ll be smelling a lot more of zombified the title very soon.

Deep Silver has just posted the following statement on their website, confirming that they will be showing titles at Gamescom 2012, some of which will be playable.

Between August 16 and 19, 2012 Deep Silver will offer an exciting line-up of games to visitors to its public booth at the gamescom trade fair 2012 in Cologne, Germany. A new title will be revealed shortly before gamescom that will be playable already at the Deep Silver public booth.

Dead Island: Riptide is the only title known to be in development at Deep Silver, and it’s definitely their most anticipated one, so it’s more than likely that we’ll be seeing some footage at Gamescom. We’ll keep you updated on any further news.
