Dead Rising 4 has all but been confirmed for an appearance at the Microsft E3 press conference and more details are coming to light as the day continues.

Journalist Frank West is set to start in the next entry in the Dead Rising series, which according to sources is a remake of the original game. The title is being developed on the Unreal Engine 4 and will take place in the same mall from the original game, with new areas added in. WCFFTech says you can explore a whole new town outside of the mall.

The game will be set around Christmas time which should provide quite a different look for the series from the very gritty looking Dead Rising 3. The overall tone is also shifting back to be more in-line with the original’s zaniness. The game will be focused on the single player portion of the game as per usual with the series, but players will have the option to team-up with others for a cooperative experience.

Dead Rising 4 will be a Microsoft and Windows 10 exclusive once again, according to the rumors.
