EA has just announced that the first piece of DLC for Dead Space titled, “Awakened”, will be out this March. Thankfully, the DLC is extra add-on content for the single players and will feature the “darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before.” Awakened will be priced at 800 MSP, or $9.99 on the PS3 and PC.

Steve Papoutsis, the head of Visceral Games had this to add to the press release. “In Dead Space 3 Awakened, gamers will experience some of the most disturbing content they have ever seen in a Dead Space game. They’re going to love it.”

As of right now, those are the only details we have, but in the coming weeks you can be sure to expect some screenshots and more than likely a trailer to go along with it. Stay tuned to OnlySP for more details as we get them.

  1. that’s right ANYONE who actually payed for this POS BEND OVER!!!

    1. How do you know it’s a complete POS if you haven’t played it? I know the micro-transactions and DLC suck, but there still might be a good/decent game buried underneath them.

      1. seen gameplay of it on youtube watched about an hour looks exactly like dead space in the gameplay department…..and that’s its it has the same EXACT gameplay of the other 2 nothing changed……except for the weapon modification which isn’t much which if you liked dead spaces gameplay you will like it. the first hour looks very promising but… falls short fast and the story is freaking terribad. also some of the voice acting is rubbish. the sound is great though.

  2. “darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before.”

Shame… that’s kind of what I was expecting from the game, not the $10, post-launch add-on.
