EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, has said that Dragon Age fans could see a new title in 2022.

Jorgensen announced during EA’s most recent earnings call that BioWare’s next Dragon Age project “probably comes after fiscal ’22”. This suggests that the earliest release of a new title would not be until at least April 2022.

Whilst this announcement provides no new details on the upcoming Dragon Age title, Jorgensen emphasised, “it’s out there and plans are underway.” Additionally, a sequel title was teased during the 2018 Game Awards under the tag line The Dread Wolf Rise.

The news sadly follows an onslaught of reported big title delays from major developers such as Naughty Dog and Ubisoft. Despite the lengthy wait, fans of the franchise can look forward to more details arriving in the future.
