EA shows off Mass Effect: Andromeda teaser

Published

 on

While revealing little in the way of concrete details, EA showed off a beautiful behind the scenes teaser for Bioware’s next immersive video game series: Mass Effect: Andromeda, which promises to give players “more freedom than we’ve ever given players in a Bioware Game.”

You can check out the trailer below. The reveal came at the EA Play press conference today ahead of E3.

Bioware stated that the impetus behind the new series in the popular Mass Effect series – created from the ground up with the powerful Frostbite engine – is the ongoing “drive to seek out the undiscovered, push beyond our limits, and expand the boundaries of our known world.”

“With Mass Effect, we are going further than ever before: to Andromeda, to build a new home for humanity.”

For those of you who aren’t well-versed in astronomy, Andromeda is a whole different galaxy (like the Milky Way), which means it’s a whole lot of new territory for the characters in the Mass Effect universe to explore and should provide a lot of new and exciting alien content for the next Mass Effect title with new alien species and landscapes.

“We’ve created a universe for our to lose yourself in – a whole new galaxy for you to explore.”

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
