Bullet Hell Rogue-Like Enter the Gungeon Getting Free Expansion Next Week

Enter The Gungeon

2016’s Enter the Gungeon, which offers an interesting crossover between rogue-like design and bullet hell mechanics, has a new expansion, entitled ‘Advanced Gungeons & Draguns’, releasing on July 19.

The developer, Dodge Roll, confirmed the news on its Twitter account, while simultaneously announcing that the free update will launch simultaneously on PC and consoles:

The update will provide adds a batch of new weapons, room layouts, and items, whilst ironing out frame rate issues. A new movement mechanic will also be introduced, allowing players to slide over tables and other objects.

For those unfamiliar with Enter The Gungeon, the title offers an impressive volume of replayability, with over 200 guns, differing weapons layouts, a cutesy 8 bit-inspired aesthetic, and tight bullet hell controls.

The free expansion will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One July 19. For more on the world of single-player, be sure to follow OnlySP on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
