Publisher Besthesda Softworks revealed today the vocal talents behind the stars of the new highly anticipated Survival-Horror game, The Evil Within. The game will feature well-known talented actors from movies and shows such as Dexter, Hell on Wheels, and Watchmen.
Actors include the talented Jennifer Carpenter, known for her role as Debra Morgan on the successful drama Dexter, and she will voice Juli Kidman, Sebastian’s rookie partner. She will be joined by Anson Mount, seen in the film Safe and the AMC hit TV series Hell on Wheels. Anson will play the title character Sebastian Castellanos as he navigates through his personal hell.
The final actor joining will play the menacing character Huvik, the opposing force to Sebastian in The Evil Within. Huvik will be voiced by Jackie Earle Haley, whose famous roles include Rorschach in the 2009 film Watchmen and Freddy Krueger in the remake of A Nightmare of Elm Street.
Shinji Mikami shared his thoughts on the decision of choosing these actors by saying,
One of the most crucial elements to any successful survival horror game is the setting and sound, which includes the depth and authenticity of the voice acting. We brought together a great cast of experienced actors to help ensure that players really believe our characters’ emotions and the tension they feel in every scene.
The Evil Within releases on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC on October 14th, 2014.
