Some new details on Fable Legends have been released by CVG.

According to CVG, Lionhead disclosed a few new details about Fable Legends today at a press event in the UK. Lionhead is planning big things for Fable Legends on the Xbox One and will have a “huge presence” at E3 according to studio head John Needham.

Needham continued on to talk about Fable Legends development on the Xbox One saying, “Fable Legends is an exciting title that’s really fun already. We’re building it with Unreal Engine 4 and that combined with Xbox One has resulted in us building, I think, one of the most beautiful games on the platform.”

If you didn’t know, Fable Legends can be played as an offline single player title, regardless of the fact that it’s online co-op component is a big part of the game. Lionhead previously explained, “You can switch easily between single player and multiplayer styles of play whenever you decide, or when a friend signs on. During a quest, you can elect to battle a human or an AI Villain.”

The studio does not categorize the game as an MMO by any means, so that’s always good to hear for fans of the franchise who would rather see the game stay a single player experience. The game will have three companions with you at all times, however, but can be controlled by AI if you choose to play that way.

We’ll be sure to keep checking for more Fable Legends information as E3 approaches, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest on the upcoming title and other single player experiences.

  1. It’ll be pretty and it’ll be broken. Lionhead don’t do non-broken games, hell they couldn’t even patch out known Fable bugs after 10 years.
