To many, the HD remaster compilation of Final Fantasy X and X-2 is the most anticipated game in the hallowed franchise on the horizon. Perhaps it is because it is a known entity, or that it is more in the vein of what the fans profess to want; whatever the reason, those fans should be happy to learn that Square-Enix has narrowed the title’s launch window.
Square-Enix announced today, via the PlayStation Blog, that the compilation will be available some time this winter. With the Japanese release set for the 19th of December, it might be wise to expect it on store shelves a little later. The company also announced that pre-ordering will automatically upgrade you to the Limited Edition art book package, which features concept art from prior to the original releases, as well as quotes and commentary from the development staff.
At TGS, Square-Enix lifted the lid on a new trailer, which you can find below. The compilation is set to release on the PS3, while the Vita will get the two games separately.
