One of today’s most exciting reveals, For Honor, was almost unexciting for us, but thanks to the Ubisoft press release for the game, it just jumped back onto our radars here at OnlySP.

According to the press release, For Honor, will in fact have a single player campaign mode and an “engaging” one at that.

Does For Honor include a campaign?

Yes, there will be a single-player campaign in For Honor and the complete details about that dimension of the experience will come at a later date. It will also be possible to play with and against AI in all our multiplayer modes.

What’s the story of the game?

What we can tell you now is that the action takes place in a time period that reminds about Middle-Age. It’s a kind of alternate reality where the Dark Age, an even darker version of the one that actually happened in Europe, would have lasted for a very long time.

This is a time of permanent conflicts, a time of endless war between the three factions. A time where the most powerful and important people are the ones players are embodying: the elite warriors, the true Heroes of the battlefield, capable of influencing the issue of battles and conflicts with their skill in battle and their science of combat.

We’ll be sure to keep looking out for more details on For Honor’s single player mode so be sure to stay tuned to OnlySP for all the latest details. We’ll work on getting our E3 reps in touch with Ubisoft to learn more about it, so don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for further updates.

  1. That’s a surprise

  2. Yea, thought it’d be MP only. Hopefully the SP doesn’t feel tacked on. Damn I’ve got high hopes for this game, please don’t screw this up ubisoft.

  3. Great to know there will be a CAMPAIGN.

  4. I want a good story. Like where you can recruit an enemy to join your side. A secret story, where they used to know each other before the way. But it only works if they’re of opposite sex. Something like in Fire Emblem’s recruiting system. Be it in story mode, or multiplayer mode. I’d love to see if people would betray their group, and help the enemy win.

  5. thank god, too many games are going only mp, If I cant sit and play a game by myself and not just mp I refuse to buy that game ever. Look at Titanfall, that game got really boring really fast just being mp, it would have been way better if it had a campaign, and if they did the campaign right it could of kicked ass!

  6. That’s good to hear. With all the corporate attempts to take control of customers’ purchases with the online-only/MP-based approach, I’d support any title that still keeps SP gamers in mind.

But with that said hopefully it will be a single player that actually had work put into it. Unlike Rainbow Six: Siege for example, that doesn’t even have friendly AI to make the SP experience worthwhile.
