Green Hell Gets Combat Revision With Third Major Early Access Update

Green Hell

The long-awaited combat update for the Amazon-set survival game Green Hell has finally arrived.

The headline features of the new patch focus on character interactions with human NPCs. Notably, a new adversary, the spearman, has been incorporated, and tribes now engage in patrol behaviour, including destroying player constructions.

However, the developer, Creepy Jar, has also provided new options for the user to fight back. These capabilities come in the form of new spear and bow weapons, as well as traps and an armour system.

The update also includes a wide array of bugfixes and miscellaneous changes, the full list of which is available here.

However, Green Hell fans on Steam seem not to view the changes in a positive light. Many comments in response to the update complain of the increased difficulty, stating that patrols are too frequent and destructive.

This combat update is the third major content release for the title, following the animal and water updates last year; it is also set to be the last before the v1.0 release, which will bring a fully fledged story mode to Green Hell.

Digimon Survive’s Stylish Opening Movie Released

Digimon Survive

The opening movie for Bandai Namco’s survival strategy game, Digimon Survive, has been released.

The opening was first shown exclusively at the “Future of Digimon” panel at Anime Expo 2019 back on July 6. The opening shows an earthquake that has hit Kanobe City, as well as some ominous red eyes (presumably Digimon) surrounding an old man in a forest. Near the end, the main character, Takuma, sees a mysterious silhouette of a girl, and the opening finishes with her singing.

Digimon Survive follows Takuma and his companion, Agumon, as they make decisions to stay alive and escape a bizarre dimension.

Digimon Survive will release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
