Griftlands Gets A Big Update At E3, Alpha Launches on Epic Games Store Next Month

Griftlands has been pretty quiet since it was announced at E3 2017, but Klei Entertainment’s roguelike will be launching next month.

The game has changed quite a bit since its initial reveal, now ramping up its deck-building and roguelike elements. The game’s E3 trailer focuses on repetition, where the protagonist uses a card-based combat system to take over a desolate bar. After a few failed attempts, the trailer’s protagonist employs the help of some of the bar’s patrons to succeed in her mission.

Klei Entertainment has recently released a full roadmap for the title.

Story-wise, players must “negotiate [their] way through a broken-down sci-fi world.” Check out the trailer below ahead the alpha’s release on July 11.
