The developers of the Killzone series, Guerrilla Games, has long been rumored to be working on something new, but in their latest interview with Eurogamer, lead designer Eric Boltjes confirms that work has only now just begun on their latest project.

According to the interview, part of the development team working on Killzone: Shadow Fall has finished their work and is now moving onto projects unrelated to the Killzone franchise. Guerrilla Games isn’t ready to share any details on their new project just yet, but we’re certainly excited to see what the developers come up with.

“I can be true about it, yes. That’s definitely what’s happening right now. I can’t tell you what we’re thinking of but yes,” he said.

“As a studio we do want to branch out, and we have started work on a new IP, something completely different to Killzone. I don’t want to say anything about it right now, but as a studio we do want to keep it fresh.”

News about their latest title is probably a ways away, but stay tuned to OnlySP for any news regarding Guerilla’s latest project.
