Halo 4 enemies to be called “Prometheans”

2

Oh no. I think I see a new trend on the horizon; blatantly misusing the name Prometheus and applying it to enemies, objects, or Alien prequels just to make them sound cool. Sigh. In any case, it’s Halo 4‘s turn on the wagon.

Thanks to a new image posted on Microsoft’s ExpertZone portal (seen above), we now know that Halo 4 will have 2 new vehicles, 10 new weapons, as well as enemies that are referred to as “Prometheans.” No doubt these are the enemies that Master Chief fought and nearly got his power-armored-ass kicked by in the E3 gameplay trailer. As for the new weapons, we do know that a railgun is going to be introduced, but not much more. Microsoft really is keeping a tight lid on the game for the most part.

Halo 4 releases exclusively on Xbox 360 on November 6th. By all means have a blast, but don’t forget to vote on that day as well! Make sure to follow OnlySP for more promethean news.

  1. Well, pop culture and entertainment in general has always been about recycling ideas. As long as effort is made to at least give things a new twist or reinvent them. I think we need more than a name to cry "ripoff". But you&#039re right in that this may become a trend. It will be annoying, but there are a lot worse things, names and ideas which trend, so we can live with this one.
