Harmonix has let us know that their focus for their next game would not be a sequel to Rock Band or Dance Central. It was also said that their next title would be for the next generation consoles. Now they have announced their new game, almost mixing the two franchises but with the Disney name.

Harmonix’s next game will be Fantasia: Music Evolved.

In Fantasia: Music Evolved, players enter the magical realms of Fantasia, selected by the legendary sorcerer Yen Sid to hone their musical and magical prowess as his new apprentice. Fantasia: Music Evolved takes players on an interactive and immersive motion-controlled journey through worlds of music and magic, unleashing their creativity along the way. Fantasia: Music Evolved will be available in 2014 for Xbox One and Kinect for Xbox 360.

Here’s the announcement trailer for the game:

Sound interesting? The prospect of a Kinect-only game like this might freak people out a bit but Dance Central did a fantastic job with the Kinect camera. Kinect 2.0 with the Xbox One will only make it better I’m sure.

Anything Harmonix makes, I will buy. It just so happens that I love their rhythm games and Disney so this is like the mecca of rhythm games for me, but hey, that’s just me.

I love video games. Writing, talking, and playing them to be specific. I love the industry and could talk your ear off about some video games. Try me if you don't believe me, just bring some snacks.
