Ninja Theory is still hard at work on their upcoming action adventure title Hellblade, which as of yesterday is now called Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
Along with the announcement of a new name for the in-development game, Ninja Theory have released a new trailer which shows us our best look at what they’re working on yet. The trailer is dark, gritty and exactly what Ninja Theory promised for their latest project. To say the least, it’s looking really good and we’re excited to check it out at E3 this year.
If you haven’t heard about Hellblade yet, here’s the official story synopsis from the developer:
[Hellblade] tells the story of Celtic Warrior Senua and her journey into Hell. The Hell in question is no ordinary Hell, but is in fact a Hell that is the manifestation of Senua’s mental illness. Senua experiences psychosis, including hallucinations and delusions, as well as suffering from anxiety and depression. As a player you will witness Senua’s living nightmare through her own eyes.
A second video was also released today showing off the stunning technology behind the scene you’ll see in the trailer. You should watch it after you watch the trailer to see what the future of cinematic game development looks like. Seriously, watch it, you’ll be amazed.
Check out the trailer for the game below and let us know what you think of it in the comments section. Stay tuned to OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for further updates regarding Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
Hellblade is due out on the PS4 and PC later this year.
