HITMAN 2, following an earlier leak on the Warner Bros. website, has been formally announced with a November 13 release date.
In the project’s debut new trailer, embedded below, Agent 47 can be seen on a mission to assassinate a Formula 1 driver. In much the same way as its immediate predecessor, the new title will feature the return of branching gameplay as evidence by the way the cinematic explores several methods in which players can assassinate their target.
While the first setting has been revealed as Miami, Florida, IO Interactive has promised “a mix of bustling international locations, “from sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests.” Whether the project follows its predecessor’s episodic structure is unclear, although the press release does note that HITMAN 2 will being available “beginning” on November 13.
The title will be developed by IO Interactive, which has partnered with Warner Bros. for Agent 47’s latest adventure. HITMAN 2 will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with pre-orders having immediate access to Sniper Assassin. That latter project is billed as a standalone experience that gives players extra missions that can tackled either alone or in co-op play.
