According to IO Interactive’s latest roadmap, the team is shifting focus towards the future of Hitman and a new IP.

Celebrating the anniversary of Hitman 2’s release, IO shared that staff are being moved to a third game in the series. More content is still planned for Hitman 2 during December. However, November marks the final major patch.

Content will continue for Hitman 2 until December 2019, with no word on whether annual elusive targets will return afterwards.

IO Interactive is also currently developing a new IP. No official details have been shared about the new project, but, hopefully, the team remains dedicated to its established stealth-action franchise as well.
