Hotline Miami 2 Launch Window Narrowed To Q3

Back in 2012 gamers were introduced to Hotline Miami, a lurid stealth-puzzler that relished in an orgy of ultraviolence and received rave reviews for its starkly brutal gameplay and subversive narrative elements, including a 9/10 from our own Lachlan Williams. The announcement of a sequel came hot on the heels of release, though a timeframe went unmentioned.

Details have trickled out as the months have passed, and the developers at Dennaton Games seem to be bringing things to a close at long last. News of the rather wide release window of Q3 came via Twitter:

It has already been revealed that the game will be made available for Linux, Mac, PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita, though whether this release date applies to all formats has not yet been confirmed. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will conclude the saga, following a number of factions that have sprung up in the wake of the events of the original, with the promise that the narrative threads of each will converge as the game progresses.
