Some new information on Robert Bowling’s upcoming open world survival game “Human Element” emerged late last week.
According to Robert Bowling, Human Element is using CryEngine 3 as its development engine. In a press release, he stated “The ambitious narrative and gameplay of Human Element required an innovative set of features in order to achieve our vision. CRYENGINE is the perfect fit for us because it delivers so many powerful features straight out of the box such as the physical based shading system and the infinite terrain from segmented worlds to create a massive open world experience but still allow the visual fidelity and detail our players expect from a first person experience from our team.”
In addition, Bowling tweeted that the game is indeed coming to the Xbox One and PS4, as well as the PC. The PC version will arrive first sometime in 2015 however the console release is yet to be finalised.
We’re pretty excited to see what Robert Bowling comes up with for Human Element. There’s a lot of survival games out there, so hopefully he can make something that stands out above the rest. We’re glad to see that he’s touting the narrative part of the game as it gives us hope that it’ll be more than just your standard “defend yourself” type of survival game.
