It has been quite a while since I last played an action racing game. The last series I played in the genre that I really enjoyed was the Full Auto series on the Xbox 360 at the start of the last generation. I never played Full Auto 2 on the PS3, and I wasn’t much of a fan of the latest Twisted Metal game either. But, thanks to DSOGaming, I’ve just stumbled upon a game called GRIP and I’m excited to learn more about it.
GRIP is a new “intense combat racer” developed by the two person team over at Caged Element. It’s being built on the Unreal Engine 4 and is currently in the prototyping phase, with the developers preparing to look for extra support to finish up the game.
The game’s Steam Greenlight page provides just about all you need to know about the game for the moment, along with the announcement of a Summer 2015 Kickstarter for the game. You can check out the initial reveal trailer just below, which looks all sorts of bad ass.
If you’re wondering if the game will have a single player component, you won’t be disappointed. According to the Greenlight page, the game does have a Career mode, arcade mode and time trial mode for those of you looking to avoid the multiplayer component of the game.
We’ll be sure to continue following the development of GRIP, so stay tuned to OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for further updates on the game.
