NetherRealm Studios has finally announced the heavily anticipated release date for Injustice 2’s first DLC character, Red Hood.

During the weekly Injustice 2 watchtower stream, NetherRealm confirmed Red Hood’s release date to be June 13, 2017 for those who own the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition of Injustice 2 as well as those who purchased the first Fighter Pack. For those who do not own any of the aforementioned editions or pack, Red Hood will be available the following week.

Injustice 2 launched on May 16, 2017, on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game received generally favorable reviews among critics, and OnlySP awarded the game a high distinction in the site’s Injustice 2 review. Reviewers praised the game’s narrative and visuals, noting the vast improvements over 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us.

NetherRealm Studios is the current company famous for the Mortal Kombat series. The company is owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment—the organization that published Injustice 2—and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The team was formed to replace Midway Games—the original company behind Mortal Kombat and NFL Blitz.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Show Unexplored Stories of Secondary Characters

Published

The luminary creator of the Dragon Ball manga, Akira Toriyama, shared new information about the upcoming action RPG, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Via the Bandai Namco Twitter account, Toriyama revealed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will depict the backstories of several secondary protagonists. This means that the game will diverge from the story of the manga and give greater insight into Dragon Ball‘s many supporting characters. While a plethora of games depict the events of the Dragon Ball franchise, only a few of them meaningfully expand upon the story’s events, characters, and world.

Toriyama describes Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as a “fresh new take on the franchise.” Even though Toriyama rarely contributes to Dragon Ball games, he did create much of the lore in the now-defunct MMO Dragon Ball Online, which heavily influenced the story of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games. While not much information is available about Kakarot and Toriyama’s involvement at this time, the title does have an early 2020 release date and a fishing mechanic.
