Sega’s Yakuza spin-off, Judgment, has recently released two new character trailers along with behind the scenes commentary from their English voice actors.

Check out the two trailers below.

The first trailer introduces the Masaharu Kaito, an ex-Yakuza from the Matsugane Family, a third tier group within the Tojo Clan. He is a friend of the main protagonist, Takayuki Yagami. Crispin Freeman is his English voice actor and he describes Kaito as “tough, rugged and loyal” and “sort of the muscle of the group.” Freeman also discusses keep the authenticity of the game’s cultural roots, noting that it is his job is to “allow an English speaking audience into the game while maintaining that Japanese flavor.”

The second trailer shows Mafayu Fujii, a highly educated lawyer from a wealthy family with a strong sense of justice. She is voiced by Cherami Leigh, and the voice actor expressed her excitement playing a strong and intelligent female character, saying that “it was fun to play a lawyer. It was always a dream of mine.” Additionally, she mentioned having fun moments being the romantic lead to Yagami as well, contributing to Fujii’s multi-dimensional characterization. Leigh also noted how during recording sessions she “got lost in the story and forgot about how long the session was.”

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Witcher-like Expansions

Published

 on

CD Projekt Red’s UI Coordinator, Alvin Liu, spoke with Prima Games about the future of Cyberpunk 2077 and the possibility of post-launch expansions.

During E3 2019, co-founder of CD Projekt Red, Red Marcin Iwiński, briefly touched upon the existence of DLC plans for Cyberpunk 2077 by disclosing the project’s roadmap. Liu, however, now confirms that there are talks happening within the company about expansions despite the main focus still revolving around the base game. Liu also promises that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a satisfying conclusion that resolves the conflicts presented within the story and that nothing is being intentionally withheld in order to add it as DLC later.

“We want to make sure everything’s complete, but we also want to build open worlds. I know when I was playing The Witcher 3 and I finished everything, I still want to know what everyone was up to,” Liu said. “I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.”

Liu explains that the expansions for The Witcher 3 helped flush out the open world by focusing on secondary characters from both the books and previous games. In terms of scale, the second and final expansion for The Witcher 3 was as big as the entirety of The Witcher 2, so the possible scope for Cyberpunk 2077‘s post-game content is limitless.
