Documentary makers and friend of OnlySP, Gameumentary, have returned with a new video exploring Warhorse Studios’s hit Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Following an open, yet controversial, development and PR cycle, the developer has taken time to reflect upon Kingdom Come‘s history and future. This expansive documentary explores the game’s design philosophy from its early stages in 2011 to the expansion work being undertaken now.
The documentary opens with a short summation of director Daniel Vávra’s history and motivations, before exploring the game’s development cycle and inspirations. The piece explores everything from location to engine choice, as well as some of the pivotal choices the team faced during development. Central to the video is the frustrations the studio felt as an independent development team.
