Life Is Strange 2 Announced For September Release Date

Life Is Strange 2, the follow-up to DONTNOD Entertainment’s narrative adventure Life Is Strange, is launching on September 27, 2018.

DONTNOD announced the news in a video, embedded below, which reveals no real story or gameplay details. The trailer merely displays a torn-up backpack, implying the series may be returning to the politics and daily life of high school.

Once again, much like Life Is Strange and Before The Storm, 2 will be an episodic series available in five parts. Direct connections to the original title have not been detailed, with the developer merely stating that the new game will feature a new cast.

A spin-off, entitled The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 26 for free, with the developer stating that the standalone adventure will have some significance to the overarching Life Is Strange story. Captain Spirit will take place three years after the tumultuous events told in Life Is Strange.
