Mad Max PC System Requirements Revealed

Published

 on

For those of you who were wondering if your machines could run the upcoming Mad Max release, wait no more and head on over to the Steam Page and check it out. Or, you know, just keep reading.

According to the Steam page, Mad Max will require, at minimum:

  • OS: 64 bit: Vista, Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-650, 3.2 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 Ghz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660ti (2 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2 GB Memory or higher)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space

For those of you looking to add a little more definition to your post-apocalyptic wastelands, the recommended specs are:

  • OS: 64 bit: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (3 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (3 GB Memory or higher)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space

Mad Max is described as a “vehicular combat and third-person action” game set in an open world environment. The game reportedly will focus just as much on Max’s car, the Interceptor, as Max himself and both will be highly customizable and upgradable. The wasteland itself will be anything but desolate and boring and developer Avalanche Studios has gone to great lengths to make the barren landscape as interesting as any lush tropical rainforest or bustling city.

Mad Max is due for release on September 1st for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Telltale Games Catalog to be Removed From GOG Next Week

Fans of the late developer Telltale Games should hurry to pick up its games quick, as PC players may not be able to buy the titles for much longer.

Digital retailer GOG has announced that Telltale’s game will be listed from the store’s website come May 27.

The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, and Batman: The Enemy Within are just a few of the titles that will fall victim to the delisting. Tales from the Borderlands specifically was already removed from Steam sometime this week.

Fans of Telltale’s Borderlands spin-off have a sliver of hope however, as 2K says that it is working to bring the title back to digital platforms as soon as it can. A 2K spokesperson confirmed the news to Eurogamer.

“We are working to get Tales from the Borderlands back up on digital storefronts as soon as possible. All prior digital purchases of the game will of course still be honoured and supported.”

There is no word on if the same will happen over at Steam or other digital retailers, but fans should assume the worst. The internet-wide delisting is a result of Telltale’s demise late last year.

Though much of the Telltale catalog will be affected, its most influential title, The Walking Dead, will still be made available through the Epic Games Store.

Those who already own any of the games delisting next week should note that they will still be able to play the games as they please.
