Manual Samuel is awkwardly fumbling his way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this Summer. The comedy physics-based adventure is currently in development and looks like a wacky mix between Octodad and Monkey Island.
Perfectly ParaNormal have announced their debut title with an announcement trailer that can be seen below, showing Samuel’s unfortunate demise before being offered a deal to come back to life in exchange for performing every single task manually. In the video game sense this means controlling each limb, taking each breath, blinking, kissing and even visiting the toilet separately. Samuel must perform seemingly mundane tasks, such as getting dressed, but in an incredibly complex and amusing manner.
Billed as a dexterity-based adventure game, Manual Samuel takes place over 24 hours using 2D animation with most of the love from the Norwegian developers poured into the characters and comedy. Published by Curve Digital, the publishing director Simon Byron had the following to say:
“It’s almost as much fun to watch as it is to play, brimming with unique touches, gleeful one-liners, hysterical set pieces and even song and dance numbers. I’ve not seen a game so happy to go out of its way to set up a joke – honestly, it’s impossible to play without laughing.”
Manual Samuel will release this Summer so keep in touch with OnlySP via Twitter (@Official_OnlySP) and Facebook to keep up with any updates to the comedic adventure. In the meantime check out the announcement trailer below.
