Thanks to a reader tip sent in by , it looks like the developer of Metro: Last Light is prepping to make an announcement tomorrow.

According to an image that was uploaded today, the developer is planning to announce something tomorrow. Our community member, translated the message for us which says, “radio silence interrupted Monday”. We confirmed this ourselves as well via Google Translate. If you’d like to do the same here’s the message: радиомолчание прервется в понедельник

The image from the fan page of a foreign social networking site can also be seen just below as well. The source link is just below the image.

Whoa, I thought you were going to wait until tomorrow or for some kind of confirmation. Haha! 🙂

There’s this guy, Sergey Galyonkin, game journalist and developer, he was one of the first to report and speak about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 troubles and cancellation back then and last year interviewed 4A Games developers (they were/are working on an open-world FPS in space, kinda). Last april 30 he tweeted he got to see what 4A games is working on, and if I didn’t misread, there are more than one project in the works. Tomorrow’s reveal (if there will be any) will be probably Metro series related.

That’s it for today. 😀

Yup, I said in my last post on Redux that it sounds like they have two projects in the work due to the way their announcement of Redux read. As they specifically said that was real, but then also noted their “first next-gen project”. Guess we’ll see tomorrow!

Well, they stated “[…] we think the reality is a lot more exciting than the out-dated material that got leaked shows […]”, what could be more exciting than both games receiving the next-gen treatment (like Tomb Raider)? For me, it would be that AND a new Metro game (next-gen only and open-world, please!). 😀

Also, for precaution I would tag this “news” as [Rumor], since the source is not an official Deep Silver (the IP-rights owner) and 4A Games community page. :/

UPDATE: Boo! That ВКонтакте page was only teasing their new website… I guess we’ll have to wait ’til E3. What a shame! 😐

Guh. Well, thanks for the tip anyways.

RUMOR ALERT!

UPDATE 2: I decided to check their new website and look what I found:

“В данный момент в 4A Games ведётся разработка новой части Метро. Что это будет за проект — мультиплеер, шутер, RPG — до сих пор неизвестно, поскольку анонс всё ещё публично не состоялся. Ждём и надеемся, что парни из Киева нас не разочаруют.

По словам Дмитрия Глуховского, у игры уже есть рабочее название и готовый сюжет. Пересекается ли его содержание с будущей книгой “Метро 2035″ — тайна за семью печатями.”

Basically, it says that 4A Games are indeed working in a new Metro game, nothing is known about it, except that according to Dmitry Glukhovsky (Metro series author) the game already has a working title and plot. Whether the new game’s and the upcoming book Metro 2035 plot will intersect, it’s a secret.

RUMOR ALERT!

Dmitry Glukhovsky helped to write the story and dialogue for Last Light, which is a direct sequel to the first game rather than the book, “because the developers felt it was less fit for a game than the original book.” You can read more about it in the VG247 article “‘Not your regular game story’ – writing Metro: Last Light”.

Also, the last mention (made by 4A Games’ Andrew Prokhorov) I found of the space game they were working on it’s from 3 months and 8 days ago, in an IGN article titled “Games from the Real-World Post-Apocalypse”. Last year, around june/july, he described their new project as “STALKER в космосе” (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in space) in a podcast and in a fan-organized Q&A.

RUMOR ALERT!

What’s the direct link to this webpage. And is it a fanpage or an official page for Metro?

Fábio Vieira May 6, 2014 at 15:54

Unfortunately, it’s a fanpage. :/

Supposed new Metro game details: http://goo . gl/QhMjrP

To find it manually, go to their new website “metroplace . ru” and click the third option, “игры”, in the top, left to right.

Deep Silver will have two “unannounced AAA games” to show at @E3

I wonder if 4A Games got a deal for both games. THAT would be friggin’ awesome! :O
